The first Bil Mitchell guitar was born in 1979. That very first guitar began a life long exercise in education, consistancy, expression, and refinement. Bil Mitchell Guitars are created entirely by hand in his workshop in Pennsylvania. What separates his guitars from the rest is his extensive abilities in all aspects of guitar construction from engineering to unique artistic expression. Exceptional tone woods are not all he offers. Six available body sizes, custom neck widths, bridge styles, headstock, and scale lengths create the custom pallette for a rainbow of hand cut mother of pearl, abalone, river pearl, and ivory inlays, designed and executed by Bil himself. Bil Mitchell, along with Sarah Dieterichs, own and operate the Guitar Parlor. A joint effort of master Luthier Bil Mitchell and repair expert Sarah Dieterichs. We are located in Eastern Pennsylvania on the Delaware River, in the northernmost tip of Bucks County (30 miles north of Philadelphia). We have more capabilities and experience within our walls then you might expect. Not only do we handcraft Bil Mitchell Custom Guitars and Homegrown Guitars, we also perform extensive repairs on all stringed instruments ranging from basic set-ups to complete restorations, with excessive and abundant anal retention! The focus of our business is entirely on our services, which is why we are so different than any other music store!
